Classic & TraditionalHelpful Advice
Help your fresh-cut tree last longer and look its best all season long.
Make a fresh 1-inch cut from the base of the trunk immediately before placing in water. This opens up the pores to allow maximum water absorption.
A fresh tree can consume up to a quart of water per day. Keep the stand reservoir full at all times — never let it go dry in the first week.
Place your tree away from heaters, fireplaces, and direct sunlight. Heat dries out needles faster and is a fire hazard.
Use only UL-listed lights and inspect for frayed wires before putting them on your tree. Turn off lights when leaving or sleeping.
